Tournaments at Red Stag bring a fresh twist to casino play. With new challenges popping up every day, it’s a fun, low-stakes way to explore top games, climb the leaderboard, and maybe pocket something extra along the way.

What Are Tournaments at Red Stag?

Red Stag tournaments are all about adding a layer of competition and excitement to your regular play. These events let you take on other players, climb the leaderboard, and score a piece of the prize pool; all while enjoying your favorite games.

Tournaments come in different formats and run throughout the week. They're designed to keep things fresh, offer a new kind of challenge, and give players more ways to win.

How to Access the Tournament Lobby

  • On mobile: Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner, next to the Red Stag logo, and scroll down to "Tournaments."
  • On desktop: Look at the bottom of the menu on the left-hand side, you'll see a button labeled "Tournaments."

Click that, and you're in the tournament lobby.

Exploring the Tournament Lobby

Once the lobby loads, you'll see a list of current and upcoming tournaments. At the top, use the Filter button to narrow down your options by game type or tournament format. The Sort button helps you order events by start time, prize pool, or name.

Scroll through the list and tap on any tournament that looks good; it's that easy.

Understanding the Tournament Page

Click the small info icon ("i") in the corner of any tournament card to bring up the full breakdown.

You'll see four main sections:

1. Overview:

  • Game image
  • Number of competing players
  • Current status (In progress, Registering, Closed, Ended, etc)
  • Button to register, enter, or withdraw

2. Tournament Info:

  • Tournament name and ID
  • Featured game
  • Ranking style:
    • Varying Balance: balance goes up and down based on wins and losses
    • Accumulated Wins: only winning rounds push your total higher
  • Start and end times
  • Registration deadline

3. Fees and Chips:

  • Entry fee (some are free): The fee you pay to register to the tournament.
  • Starting chip balance: The amount of tournament chip to receive to start competing.
  • Rebuy options, limits, and add-on values: The amount you pay to buy more tournament chips in case you run out, and their limits.

4. Leaderboard and Prizes:

  • Top 10 rankings
  • Prize payouts for each position
  • Live leaderboard so you can track your spot

Registering for a Tournament

Click "Register," and a quick pop-up will display the entry cost and the number of tournament chips you'll receive. After confirming:

This is what the registration confirmation message looks like:

  • If the tournament is underway, you'll see Enter to start playing.

  • If it hasn't started yet, you'll see Withdraw, which lets you back out and get your entry fee refunded (if you paid one).

This is what the withdrawal confirmation message looks like:

Note: You need to play directly through the tournament lobby. If you leave and launch the game from the regular lobby, it won't count toward your tournament progress.

Types of Tournaments

Red Stag offers a few different flavors of tournaments:

  • Freerolls have no entry fee — just sign up and start spinning

  • Buy-ins ask for a set fee but offer a nice prize pool

  • Variable prize pools grow with every new entry

  • Network events include players from other connected casinos and offer an even bigger prize pool

  • Slots or Table Game tournaments focus on different game styles

Each has its own pace and appeal, from high-stakes risk to casual competition.

Tournament Balance vs Real Balance

When you register, you’ll be given a tournament balance in chips. That’s not real money — just what you use to play within the event.

Your real balance is what you use for entries and rebuys, and it’s separate from your tournament chips. Always double-check that you’re launching the game from inside the tournament lobby so you’re using the right balance.

Wagering and Prizes

Some tournaments pay out in real money with just a 1x wager. Others award bonus funds, usually with a 30x requirement. The prize info will always show what kind of reward you’re playing for.

Tips for New Players

If you're just getting started, here are a few pointers:

  • Start with a freeroll to get the hang of it without spending anything

  • Check the ranking style — they play very differently

  • Look at how prizes are split; sometimes first place gets a lot more than second

  • Use your chips — don’t let them sit there unused

Smart move: Fewer players often means better odds, so joining during early hours/days can be a smart edge.
