Red Stag Poker Options

Many of the Red Stag poker games are familiar to players from their Vegas gaming expeditions but others are new. The casino offers over a dozen poker choices so you can pick the one that suits your individual gaming preferences. Some of the most popular Red Stag poker options include:

Double Joker Poker

Double Joker uses a 54-card deck – the extra two cards are Jokers which also serve as Wilds. The Wilds can be used to substitute for any other card. Payouts begin with two pairs – there are no payouts for one pair.

Players start the gameplay by placing their bet and receiving their cards. You are then dealt 5 cards, all face up. You can then decide which card to hold and which cards you want to trade in. The game will then replace the cards that you’ve chosen to trade and you’ll evaluate your cards. If you trade in your winnings, all good. If you keep playing, you can double your payout!

Quad Poker

Quad Poker is one of the biggest poker innovations of the 21st century. In a game of Quad Poker, each player makes an ante bet and receives five cards. The dealer will receive six. Players then assemble the best four-card hand possible and, if they choose to continue, make a Play wager.

If a player feels that his hand isn’t going to succeed against the dealer’s hand, s/he can fold. Play wagers can equal up to 3x the Ante wager. Each player than shows his hand which is evaluated against the dealer’s four-card hand. The hand with the highest rank wins.

All American Poker

All American Poker is similar to the classic 5-Card Draw poker. However, the betting structure is different -- there are no betting rounds after the initial bet. In addition, the payout structure for All American Poker is a bit different from 5-Card Draw Poker  where higher ranking hands receive differing payouts.

Flushes, hands with three-of-a-Kind and  hands with Jacks or Better pay out at standard rates  Royal Flushes, Straights and Straight Flushes pay out at a higher rate. Two Pairs and Full Houses pay out at a lower-than-standard rates.

Tens or Better Poker

In Tens or Better Poker, hands with pairs of tens or better (jacks, queens, kings or aces) are the possible pair hands. Other than that, the game is played similarly to five-card draw – you ante in, draw five cards and make the best possible hand. You can then trade in cards that you don’t want to improve your hand.

Any hand that doesn’t have at least 10s or better won’t continue in the play. After your trade-in you can place a bet and your hand will be compared to the dealer’s hand, with the winning hand declared the winner. After the pairs of 10s or better, the hands are ranked similarly to 5 card draw, from three-of-a-kind and double pairs up to the highest Royal Flush hand value.

Aces and Eights Poker

Many players prefer to play Aces and Eights Poker because the RTP (Return to Player) percentage is especially high – 99%. Aces and Eights is played with a 52-card deck and follows standard 5-card draw rules. As you work to build the strongest hand you’ll be aiming for special bonus payouts for hands that include pairs of aces and pairs of eights. There are three main differences between Aces and Eights and 5 Card Draw Poker:

  • You are dealt seven cards, some face-up cards and some hole cards. You then make your hand with 5 of those seven cards.
  • Your final hand must include both hold cards and face-up cards.
  • The game features special side payouts for pairs of aces or pairs of eights.

Aces and Faces Poker

If you’re playing Aces and Faces Poker, after you ante in, you’ll receive a 5 card hand. You move on to create the best hand possible by trading in cards that you don’t need in the hopes that you’ll get the cards that you do need to create a winning hand. After you finish your trade you can bet again, based on your prediction of whether your hand will beat the dealer’s hand.

The Aces and Faces payout schedule is similar to traditional 5-card Draw poker except that four-of-a-kind hands that involves Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces are higher up on the ranking than would normally happen in a regular 5-card draw game.
